THE CONCEPT
The Tzolk'in is the official name for the Mayan religious calendar that consisted of 260 days; the days each had a name and a number from one to thirteen. It was primarily used for religious practices, predictions, and even infant naming. When a Mayan infant was born, he or she would be given the name that corresponded with their date of birth. The Tzolk'in is represented by three interlocking dials that correlate with the year, month and day. Modern Mayans still use this system today to mark special events such as weddings, religious ceremonies, holidays and coronations.
THE CASEBACK
The Quantus V3 features a uniquely intricate engraving of the Tzolk'in calendar as well as limited edition numbering to mark your timepiece as your own.
The level of detail on the caseback is one rarely seen on a timepiece and offers an artistic element hidden until the watch is removed from one's wrist to display.

CURVED SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL AND CASE
The oblong case and crystal found on the Quantus is a trademarked specialty of the Égard brand.
The sapphire crystal placed in the Quantus is one of the most difficult crystal shapes to cut. The oblong nature of the crystal must fit perfectly in the case which is a challenge in itself. Our team spent over a year perfecting the technique of cutting the crystal perfectly. The crystal is curved on top and bottom. It has a curvature throughout the entire crystal as well to wrap the case.
The Quantus V2 is the first time we upgraded our case by separating it into two pieces. This allows it to be significantly sturdier and have much cleaner and stronger coating. The curvature of the case allows the 43mm case to wrap perfectly to any wrist.

I almost sold this timepiece but had second thoughts based on the low resale price of 85.00 I was given. I wear it more frequently now and will not part with it. A must have for any collector.
People ask me about this watch all the time. Looks and feels like a very expensive watch.
It's a nice looking watch. Hour indicator could be more visible. Lume is okay. Bands should be quick release as the ones provided are a bear to change out. Full wind lasts maybe a day. Thickness may hinder wearing a dress shirt. Seeing the movement through the glass is cool.

This watch is awesome. Good quality, very cool design, nice fit and terrific value for money. So glad I got it. Only problem is it makes me not want to wear my Rolex now.
As soon as i removed the watch from the box it arrived in, i couldn't help but be in awe of the build quality. every part of the watch fits together perfectly. I was particularly impressed with the way the crystal fits the casing, especially considering the shape and curvature of it. The build quality stands out each and every time i look at it. The only thing i would say could be improved upon would be to have the dials be luminous as it's difficult to see the time in a dark setting. Overall, it's definitely the new favourite in my collection.

Sits Perfect on the wrist due to its curved lug design making it super comfortable. Thick and hefty time piece so it has a nice presence on the wrist but it’s not ‘over done’. The dial is beautiful and the dual balance wheel movement looks fantastic in action. It appears a little larger than its 43mm case size due to its shape and thickness (which is a good thing in my opinion). With its unique design and beautiful mechanical movement this watch is a must own for any collector. This is my second watch from this company and I love them both. I am looking forward to more designs in the future that will hopefully have these unique features, designs and affordable mechanical & automatic movements!
